Meet Robert Lee Wagner, Jr. MD

Robert Lee Wagner, Jr. MD Originally trained in internal medicine, Dr. Wagner also became an anesthesiologist to enhance his skills in critical care medicine. He worked as an academic anesthesiologist in San Francisco before moving to his wife’s hometown of San Diego in 1988. He practiced operating room anesthesiology at Scripps Green Hospital during the 1990’s, and became heavily involved in pain management beginning in 1995-1996. Initially he exclusively served the patients of Scripps Clinic. In 2000, Dr. Wagner began devoting his full time to the practice of pain medicine, and opened an office to serve the wider San Diego community.
